Crozes-Hermitage Marquis de Sade
Our family is settled in Rhône Valley since the 13th century. The Marquis de Sade was a Syrah wines' lover, that he oftenly described in his books. In tribute to the Marquis, we produced this wine which is amoungst the most elegant, famous and popular from the North of Rhône Valley.
Our Crozes-Hermitage was harvested at perfect maturity thanks to a good and sunny vintage, and we produced a small quantity to keep only the best quality from this amazing Terroir. You will have a perfect representation of the Appellation tasting our wine.
Grape: 100% syrah
Vinification: harvest by hand at perfect maturity, long maceration in stainless steel tanks with temperature controlled
Ageing 12 months in French oak barrels
SO2 added at the minimum before bottling to keep fruit and freshness
Tasting note: Black fruits and pepper aromas. Black-currant and red fruits, well-balanced wine with elegant tannin, long-lasting final.
To be consumed with red meat and cheese, at around 16 to 18 degrees celcius. You can decanter the wine 2 hours prior to tasting.
